Seriously boost your audio quality free trial

Introducing FXSoundis designed to enhance sound quality on your Windows device. When installed, it gives you high-resolution audio playback without you needing to spend money on expensive speakers or headphones. It's easy to set up too. Within seconds you'll be listening in perfect clarity with 3D surround effects like fidelity bass enhancers to improve the quality of your playback.

It’s not free, but you can take advantage of a free 7-day trial to test the software before purchasing. It’s also worth noting that the Mac version of FXSound hasn't yet been released (although it is currently under development), therefore this software (at the time of this writing) is not compatible with Mac. If you are looking for a free alternative, you can try Equalizer APO, which performs in a similar fashion and also has positive user responses.

How does FXSound improve your sound quality?

FXSound enhances your listening experience with audio technologies like 3D sound effects, which allow you to adjust your audio with a frequency equalizer. But unlike traditional equalization tools, it also adds various other effects like virtualized bass enhancer - all of which can be used in conjunction or separately. Another useful feature is that it has a wide range of presets for popular music genres. So you can choose the preset that matches your music type for an optimal listening experience.

FXSound also comes with speaker calibration, so you can configure each speaker to boost its specific frequency range, depending on where it is located in your room. This allows you to optimize playback across all of your speakers, including those built into laptops and computers. Also, if your speakers lack bass or are shrill, the audio processor also comes with its own volume control for each speaker.

As it's an audio enhancer, FXSound won't do anything that would improve other aspects of your computer playback, like video rendering. It is purely designed to enhance the sound quality, which can be accessed through any media platform like YouTube, Spotify, or whatever else you may want to use.

What is the best way to use FXSound?

When we first began writing this review, we assumed that FXSound would work by simply adding itself as an audio renderer. This means that it would show up in your Playback or Recording devices, but it would not affect any of the normal sounds that come out of your laptop speakers.

However, we were wrong. After installing FXSound, all our media suddenly sounded better. The bass was deeper, and there was a certain clarity to the sound, which you could only expect from high-quality headphones. This is a great product if you want to use it as a means of boosting the sound quality of your computer.

You can also take advantage of its speaker calibration, which can be found in the Preferences menu. This allows you to optimize the playback depending on where your speakers are located in relation to your ears. Even with speaker calibration turned off, music still sounds great, but if you have the time, it's worth calibrating your speakers for an even more immersive listening experience.

Cheap alternative to high-end equipment

FXSound allows you to use the software as an alternative to buying expensive audio processing hardware as high-quality speakers and headphones aren’t cheap.

For those on a budget who want deep bass and crisp playback, this app delivers. It works by taking the audio output from your media player and processing it with its own audio rendering algorithm; it then outputs the processed signal to your headphones or speakers. This allows you to enjoy high-quality audio even if your speakers do not support it.

Take advantage of the 7 day trial period

Even if you're not sure you want to pay for the software, there is a 7-day free trial period. So why not at least try it out? At its core, FXSound has been designed to make your existing speakers sound amazing by leveraging the power of your standard-issue headphone jack. If you listen to music on your laptop on a regular basis, especially through cheap speakers, FXSound is absolutely worth the small price.

FXSound promises to enhance your audio playback with a wide range of audio effects. Using these effects, you can adjust your listening experience by boosting specific frequencies and adding bass enhancer functionality.

Are there any alternatives?

There are many free software alternatives to configure the equalizer settings on your computer. For example, Equalizer APO is an open-source alternative that has similar features to FXSound in terms of customizing frequencies and adding bass enhancer functionality. But the downside is that it only works on 32 bit Windows operating systems. The compatibility issues make FXSound a much better choice for those looking for an all-in-one solution.

If you want to experiment with different presets beforehand to see if you can improve your playback quality, try the five band equalizer in the Windows Media Player or go into your laptop's playback settings and play around with various preset levels for an optimized music experience.

Not just louder, but better sound quality

FXSound's additional audio effects allow you to customize your playback experience. For example, the bass enhancer enables you to add extra bass, perfect for those who like to listen on laptop speakers. There is also a surround sound feature that allows you to enjoy immersive sound with your headphones.

FXSound is a great product for those looking to boost their audio quality. Whether or not you are willing to pay for the upgrade will depend on how much you value your music's sound quality. But even if paying is out of the question, there is a 7-day free trial available that allows you to try out the software before committing to an investment.  If you use your computer to listen to music, FXSound is well worth downloading.
